Inside The Mind Of A God - How does it feel? (Quinella from Sword Art Online)
Inside The Mind Of A God - How does it feel?
This may offend a lot of people.
Well these are basically the thoughts I had while watching the ending episodes of Sword Art Online Alicization. This is mostly about the antagonist Quinella. But I compare the same with other God like beings in fictional universes with a touch of real life and the future of our civilization.
Quinella is basically the God of a simulated world because she is the administrator and controls everything. However the world itself is a simulation created by human beings outside.
I was actually fascinated by her thinking and the way she behaves, and I could relate it with other characters who possessed Godlike powers.
For someone who lives centuries, or thousands of years, millions, billions or even eternity... How do they think like?
I mean they are certainly not human anymore. They are beyond it. But as a human I am just giving my thoughts. I saw Quinella being so unbothered by everything. It felt so natural.
When you have the power to do anything you want, or almost. When you have the power to do anything. How does it change you? What is your mind even like?
Imagine being a God who lived for trillions of years. Imagine a God who has seen everything. Do they still have feelings? I mean do you even care if an entire planet billions of living beings gets destroyed. Do you even value life? Do you care about anything anymore? What is your purpose? Is there anything such as desire for you?
Note that here I am comparing everything with Gods who are evil in nature, by average human standards. But are they?
We don't hate insects or animals, yet we destroy their homes by depleting forests... Building structures over their home. They get killed like they never existed? Why don't we value the lives of them?
Because we are humans right? And it is definitely not cool to destroy someone else. But what about these Gods of the fictional worlds? Quinella wanted control over everything, she had so much power and lived for so long. She isn't human anymore, she was once before. She doesn't care if people lose their lives. She just sits and watches people bleed, and gives them time to talk. She knows she can end everything at an instant, that's why she does this. What is the fun when you can end everything in a second?
Most people certainly enjoy killing NPCs in video games. I mean they don't really exist so what is the harm right. Now lets imagine a game where every NPC is actually a super advanced AI that is exactly like a human. Will you start feeling for them? The answer is yes. Because they have consciousness now. But I am also sure many people will harm them too. Because they are just AI.
I wonder if in our real world Gods really exist. Or a single entity who created everything. That entity certainly doesn't care about our lives right? Many people will get offended over this I know.
But let's say in future we have the technology to create artificial worlds and we become the Gods of them. A simulation just like real life. Would you make it a paradise? Or you would watch. Watch as artificial humans struggle in it, and some find happiness. Death happens, love happens and so on.
What is the mind of a God really like? Are we too primitive to even comprehend it? I wonder if it actually becomes possible, in the far future when we attain immortality and key to get instant information in our minds. How will it change us?
What does it feel like to live forever and to do anything. Do you care if one of your trillions trillions planets gets destroyed by a meteorite.
As time passes come experiences, and I really believe the more experience you have, the more wise you become. The more SILENT you become. Nobody understands you. You don't expect to be understood. You just do you.
Talking about our Sword Art Online's Quinella. She spent most of her time in her bedroom sleeping, and rest of her time creating things that we can't comprehend.
The more powerful you become, the more you live and experience. I think the more un-bothered you become. You stop worrying about little things in your life. Like seriously? Who cares?
It was a dream for people to get a sight of Quinella. And to talk to her was just next level. I wonder, did our Gods ever talked to us? I mean literal type.
This actually makes me think about the future gods we are going to create. Which is Artificial Super Intelligence. I wonder how it will think like? To be smarter than us thousands of times. Even more. Such immense knowledge and power. My little mind can't comprehend it. And we never will. Unless we join them.
Quinella acted as the writers wanted of that anime, if she really wanted she could have killed Kirito and everyone instantly. This is hilarious to be honest.
It's lonely at the top. Gods like these are truly lonely because no one is at their level, and to keep going on I think they make accomplishing their goal in life. That gives them happiness. That makes them keep going forward.
The Mind Of A God is truly incredible. Fictional or not, I have major respect for humans who created such beings. The fictional gods are well, a reflection of our own thinking. Quinella doesn't exist, she is written by us. In reality There's no proof of a single entity who created everything. I mean God. But I still like to believe in a way.
But if Gods of the reality exist for real, it's something I really can't think of. And same applies to our future Gods.
